Thief River Linen has long been known for exceptional fabrics, a fresh approach to home fashion design and outstanding customer service. The company was started in 1986 by Linda Bentson in Thief River Falls, MN, in an effort to provide a way to boost income to a small community that was suffering from a downturn in the farming industry.

In early 2010, Emily Peele, a former employee and designer for Thief River, joined with Philip Young and Tamara Joyce of Carolina Safety Sport to form StudioPeele Home LLC, and purchase Thief River Linen. Manufacturing was then moved from Minnesota to North Carolina, keeping the high-quality techniques and working close to the long-time hub of the home furnishings industry-High Point, NC.

Building on what Bentson started as a company, Thief River Linen continues its commitment to wonderful fabrics and quality products that meet the unique needs of our diverse design and retail customers.
